Age zuki – Rising punch

Awase zuki – U punch (double punch high and low)

Irimi awase zuki – U punch – leaning (as in Bassai Dai)

Choku zuki – Straight punch

Furi zuki – Swinging punch

Gyaku zuki – Reverse punch

Hasami zuki – Scissors punch

Heikô zuki – Parallel punch (double punch side by side)

Heikô ura zuki – Parallel back punch (as in Heian Yondan)

Kagi zuki – Hook punch

Kizami zuki – Jab

Kizami gyaku zuki – Reverse jab

Mawashi zuki – Roundhouse punch

Morote zuki – Double fisted punch

Morote kôhô tsuki age – Augmented swinging punch to the rear (as in Heian Godan)

Nagashi zuki – Flowing punch

Oi zuki – Lunge punch

Otoshi zuki – dropping punch

Ren zuki – Alternate punching

Nihon ren zuki – Two consecutive punches

Sanbon ren zuki – Three consecutive punches

Soeshô zuki – Added palm punch (flat hand on top of punching elbow)

Sokumen morote zuki – Both arms sideways punch (as in Tekki Shodan)

Tate zuki – Vertical fist punch

Ura zuki – Reverse side punch (uppercut)
