We aim to make your life easier. As an instructor we know that you would rather spend your time teaching, practicing and preparing for sessions rather than filling out and sending forms to an association.
We are very simple to join and we require a minimal amount from you once you join so that you can concentrate on the important part, teaching and practicing quality Martial Arts!
If you teach a martial art other than Karate please contact us to discuss whether we can accept your club. We are keen to broaden the offerings of the association, but need to ensure that we can offer the support structure that you require.

What we require from you in order to join...
- A conversation on the telephone or in person to discuss your joining of the association
- Proof of grade and a short Martial Arts resume
- Current first aid certificate (we can help arrange a course if required)
- CRB check upon joining Association. Instructors responsibility to advise of any changes to circumstances regarding their criminal record. Ad hoc requests for updated CRB checks will be requested at random intervals
What we require from you once you are a member...
As previously stated, we are not looking to take up a lot of your time with administration, but there is information that we need for effective running of the association.
- Prompt payment of License fees, delays in payment will result in a delay of insurance becomming active
- Completed license forms for all students on expiry or joining (within 2 weeks of either event)
- Advice of grades given of 3rd Kyu and above
- Contact in person within the first 6 months of joining and annually following this (either as a meeting or at a seminar/course)
- Your agreement that you will maintain records of all classes taught, those who attended them and payment. These will not be required to be seen by the association on a regular basis, but must be available if requested.
- Your agreement that all injuries, complaints or incidents in the club or associated with the club will be recorded in detail in an incident book

All aspects of the above are subject to change with no notice at the discretion of the Association where it is required to protect our members or the standard and safety of martial arts taught within the Association. The Association reserves the right to refuse membership without providing reason to the applicant should we feel that the applicant does not meet our requirements.
