Chiyoko is a new children's karate club in St Albans based in the hall of the Trinity United Reform Church, Beaconsfield Road (Central St Albans).
We provide a focussed introduction aiming to create a comfortable environment for children to learn and increase their fitness.
We follow a structured program to ensure all essential elements are covered for the progression of the student whilst keeping the sessions fun and intuitive, working with your child to make sure they get the most out of their time with us.
Feedback from parents of Bushido students has suggested calmer, better behaved children after a period of training, improved school results and a noticable increase in attention span. Giving a child a martial art to focus upon can result in these benefits due to the following:
- Increase in confidence and social skills through the friendly club atmosphere
- Burning excess energy in a focused way through the demanding physical aspect
- Improvement of memory and attention by translating multiple instructions into physical movement
A standard class may consist of :
- A fun warm-up-game,
- Karate stances and techniques
- Kata practice
- Partner work and kumite
- Energetic Pad-work
- A fun cool down game and stretching
Monthly seminars with the Hombu club are also available to students. These provide an unmissable opportunity to further the child's skill and give them an insight into the more advanced levels.
Class times and Prices:
Fridays 17:00-18:00 £5 per student each session
