The Hatfield Dojo offers a karate class for beginners and junior grades under the umbrella of the Bushido Martial Arts Association.
We provide a focussed introduction aiming to create a comfortable environment for complete beginners to pick up the basics whilst increasing their fitness levels.
We follow a structured program to ensure all essential elements are covered for the progression of the student whilst allowing you to find your own areas of preference within the art, working with you to make sure you get the most out of your time with us.
Monthly seminars with the Hombu club are also available to students. These provide an unmissable opportunity to further your skill and give you an insight into the more advanced levels.
Hatfield Bushido karate club is owned and run by Richard Telford-Nicholson. The Chief Instructor also runs feature classes upon request from Richard, these can include subjects such as advanced kata, self-defence, sparring and weaponry.
Due to the close proximity of the dojo to the University of Hertfordshire (College Lane campus) this is an ideal venue for students (being close to the most popular student's accommodation). This enables us to mix our training with a good out of class social scene.
Club pricing is simple and affordable:
£6 per session OR £20 per month (regular payment)
Students receive a generous discount to bring prices down to:
£5 per session OR £16 per month (regular payment, NUS required)
Additional costs:
Annual license/insurance - Student £20, Adult £25 (this is required after 2 sessions)
Black Karate Suits with white belt included* - £25 (not required until gradings are taken)
*There is no requirement to purchase any equipment from the club, though we are confident that we can supply at much cheaper prices than the high street
