January 2010 - 2010 Grading Dates Announced
The following dates have been set for this years official gradings, please note them in your calendar. There may be additional examinations for exceptional circumstances, but remember that we train to improve and NOT to grade.

New pricing structure with effect 1st August.
July 2009 - Change of training timetable
During the school holidays all BFS and Shotokan sessions will be run on Monday nights, we aim to return to 2 nights per week after the summer period. Please see the training timetable for details.
April 2009 - Shotokan Grading Results
We a successfull advanced course on Kanku-Dai and grading on the 25th of this month. Those who partook impressively picked up the kata and took away an understanding of the techniques that will greatly help with the practice of their Heian katas.

January 2009 - Shotokan Grading Results
We held another successfull grading on the 29th of this month, it was a very impressive grading that filled me with pride.

Family session launched - 19th Jan 09
Following interest from several parents about taking part we have launched a session specifically for this. Monday nights 6:30 to 7:30 we are now teaching Shotokan Karate for any age from 6+ (under 16s may train on their own but over 16s must either be a sibling or a parent to one of the other members). In order to maintain our affordability one parent or sibling may train free with one full paying junior. This should really encourage the family oriented ethos of the club, and with parents training alongside their children there will be greater understanding of what your children are expected to acheive and home practice will be more prductive.
New website launched
Bushido temporary website has now been replaced by our permanent site. Please let me know if you have any feedback on the content or design.
July 2008 - Shotokan Grading Results
We held another successfull grading on the 7th of this month, progress being made is a true reflection of the willingness to learn and efforts of those who took part. For those who were unable to attend this time, due to illness or work/university schedules, we will arrange another session for you to grade if you wish.

April 2008 - Shotokan Grading Results
We held several grading sessions in April to accommodate those with irregular shift-work. I am both pleased and proud to say that the effort, spirit and standards of techniques shown by all far exceeded the requirements for the grades awarded!
